LCFS' 2010 Southern Illinois Golf "Fore" Kids Charity Outing has been cancelled. After careful consideration of the current economic environment, Lutheran Child and Family Services (LCFS) of Illinois has decided that it is in the best interest of our dedicated sponsors and faithful participants to cancel this year’s golf outing originally scheduled for June 17th in Mount Vernon. We believe our decision is a fiscally responsible way to steward the resources that you so generously contribute to LCFS. We realize that for many of you this may have been the way you support LCFS. Your participation contributed much needed financial resources and provided an opportunity for fellowship with like-minded individuals who share in your commitment to serving children and families in need. In 2009, your support allowed us to serve over 1,000 children, individuals and families through our programs in Southern Illinois. Unfortunately, with so many experiencing financial hardship there is an increasing need for our services. As a result, your partnership is as important as ever.  We are asking you to please continue your tradition of supporting the LCFS Golf “Fore” Kids Charity Outing through a financial gift benefiting foster care, counseling, food and clothing distribution and the Southern Thirty Adolescent Center in your local communities.
