In a Word, Harvest Gala was "Grand!"

The 16th annual Harvest Gala, held October 22 at the Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Itasca, was the most successful ever, raising $174,000 for LCFS programs and services.

Thank you to Jay and Doris Christopher for completely underwriting this year's gala, and to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, a major sponsor.
A special fund-raising activity during the evening launched a new vocational training program at Lutherbrook. Guests pledged $28,000 toward a new specially designed teaching kitchen where clients can learn food preparation as well as receive training for hospitality industry jobs.

A highlight of the evening was this year's guest speaker, David Wright. David is a former Lutherbrook client and currently a freshman at University of Illinois-Chicago. "My success," David told the room of LCFS friends, "is your success."
