In response to God's love, Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois engages with youth, adults, families, communities and other stakeholders to improve the well-being of those we are called to serve.
Moved by the power of the Gospel, we envision a world where, God’s will for His people to show mercy, do justice and fulfill Christ’s command to love our neighbor is fully expressed.
LCFS traces its roots to 1873 when several Lutheran churches in northern Illinois established the German Evangelical Lutheran Orphan Home in Addison, Ill. Opening its doors that year to six young children, the orphan home grew quickly and expanded its services over the years.
Acknowledged by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
