Food and Clothing Distribution

If you are unemployed or underemployed and struggling to feed and clothe your family on a limited income, LCFS’
Food and Clothing Distribution program can help. Visit one of our three sites during its distribution time.

Responding to basic needs

In our land of abundance there are people who go to bed hungry. Some seniors on a limited income are forced to choose between paying for their medications or for food. Many families are unable to cover all their expenses because they are unemployed, underemployed or unable to work because of health problems.

In all of these situations, LCFS’ food and clothing distribution services can mean the difference between meeting the day’s nutritional needs and going to bed hungry.

LCFS takes a holistic approach to food and clothing distribution. In addition to providing supplemental and nutritional food to clients, those who come to distribution sites are assisted in identifying barriers to adequate food and accessing resources that promote self-sufficiency. There is no charge for food and clothing, but clients who come to a distribution center are asked to sign a sheet certifying that their income is within eligibility guidelines, which vary depending on family size.
