Legacy Gifts
Become a Shepherd Society member through a planned gift to LCFS and make
a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
It’s hard to believe, but most Americans do not have a valid will. A will is your way of ensuring that your assets will be passed on to the people and organizations of your choice. A charitable gift through your will can take many forms, such as a specified dollar amount or a percentage of your assets or policies. You can also structure your will in such a way that your loved ones will be provided for and the remainder is designated as a charitable gift. Charitable gifts made through your will are 100% deductible for estate tax purposes. This type of gift could place your estate in a lower tax bracket. Your attorney and financial advisor should be able to help you solidify these commitments.
Planned Giving Resource Guide
This Planned Giving Resource Guide outlines the features and benefits of the different giving vehicles. As you prepare your will and future commitments to family and philanthropy, please consider the impact your planned gift could have on LCFS’ mission. You may specify that your donation be used for general purposes at LCFS or for a particular program or ministry.
