The social work values of service, importance of human relationships, dignity and worth of a person, competence, integrity and social justice have led my journey over the past decade. I believe we should all aspire to make an indelible impact of excellence in our world. Therefore, we have to be able to ask, answer, and respond to: How are we doing? How do we know? How do we prove and/or improve our efforts and strategically achieve desired social impact results with the population served and the workforce serving considering the current and future landscape of needs, risks, human capital, and financial resource support allocations? Social workers are the catalyst that disrupt the status quo, help in restoration, transformation, reform and identify opportunities to build upon the strengths for long-standing recovery and growth. I am proud to be a part of a profession that accompanies the pathway of hope for a better tomorrow.
