Volunteers are an important part of enabling LCFS to transform lives. Your time, talent and energy will make a difference. You can be an important part of helping LCFS ensure that those we serve have the chance to reach their potential.
Contribute your time, expertise and energy to help those in need. Volunteer opportunities can be program-specific or administrative, ongoing or for a single day. Currently, we are recruiting volunteers for the following positions at our offices throughout the state.
LCFS is looking for people to serve as volunteer receptionists at each of our offices statewide. The volunteer will greet and direct guests upon arrival, answer phones, distribute mail and carry out other clerical duties. If you are looking for an impactful way to spend your time, have a welcoming spirit, and a desire to use your skills to engage, uplift, and coordinate front line communications, this is the perfect volunteer position for you. Volunteers can work full or half day shifts on one or multiple days each week.
Volunteer Case Aides
Volunteer case aides will provide direct and indirect case aide services, working with children and families (mothers and fathers) to link them with community resources and assist the case worker. As a volunteer case aide you will become a member of the circle of support for a foster child that ensures he/she feels safe, protected, and connected. Duties will include: transportation to visits, court and medical appointments, assisting with paperwork, and big sister/brother recreational activities.
Volunteer Office Coordinators
LCFS is need of a volunteer at each of our offices statewide to manage that office’s volunteers. This position includes recruiting new volunteers, on-boarding volunteers, plus monitoring their hours and progress at the office, including scheduling reviews.
